I'll update again when the rest of the components are confirmed and production is under way.
Nightlancer has been ordered!

The artwork is completed, the files have been approved by the printer and I have now placed the order!
This is all a huge deal for me, as a first time publisher! All the art and testing is done, the game is done and being produced I will not make any more changes to it! This is something a lot of designers like myself struggle with - saying it's all done for the first time, and setting the wheels in motion from going from the theoretical product to the production line!
I will get the sample in the next few weeks and you'll get your first view of the real thing!
There are still a million more things to do ahead, many of which will also be new to me as I go. I wish I'd been able to get this out on schedule, but I can just try to learn from the experience. Hopefully a year like 2020 wont happen again any time soon, and I've learned some important lessons from this experience.
I continue to work on expanding the Nightlancer world, alongside running the Nightlancer RPG every other week to test out ideas before for the rules and the world. The Nightlancer world is freeto access via the wiki, however I hope some of you would be willing to help me spend more time expanding the world behind Nightlancer and become a patron.
For the price of one pot miniature paint a month Patrons get to vote on the articles that come next, allowing them to see the world expand in areas they're most interested in. They also get to preview the development of the article and see some of the thoughts and ideas behind the process.
As well as the Nightlancer RPG I run the Wasters RPG every Sunday at 16:00 GMT. There is room for some extra players in this grimy, lethal old-school cyberpunk game based on OSE, the adapted B/X rules set by Necrotic Gnome. It's fast-paced, brutal survival in the cyberpunk ruins of society.
You can find out more and join the game on Discord.
Thanks again to you all or supporting me.
Nightlancer artwork complete, rulebook PDF available!

The artwork for Nightlancer is now complete, in the next week I'll be getting the final high-resolution files ready for the printer and start production. When I have the proof copy from the printer I'll update you all with the unboxing!
Nightlancer rule book
I'm now ready to send out the rulebook PDF and you should all receive it soon from BackerKit.
The Nightlancer RPG campaign is ongoing and there is room for 1 or 2 additional players if you would like to join. The crew most recently survived a tense encounter with the Harmony shockpack, barely avoiding a pitched battle in the street (though not without the loss of their getaway driver).
The Nightlancer RPG runs every other Friday at 19:30 GMT with the next game on the 22nd January. You can join the game here:
I have also started running a second RPG set in a cyberpunk adaptation of the OSE rule set. OSE (Old School Essentials) is a classic fantasy rules set by Necrotic Gnome.
My Wasters RPG adapts the fantasy rules to a generic cyberpunk setting. Taking the spiritual background of a fantasy game, the characters are Wasters going out into the abandoned wastes of the dystopian world and searching for lost and abandoned tech and valuables. True to OSE, Wasters is an extremely lethal game with a total of 12 PCs and retainers already taken out by the gangs, bots and hazards of the wasteland.

Work has been going on steadily and almost all components are complete. The rulebook is 99% done and I'm looking at sending the game to print in the next few weeks. The box cover art has just recently been finalised!
Unfortunately, I need to accept that a December delivery is not going to happen, and the game will ship early in 2021. The finalisation of the artwork has taken longer than expected owing to a number of factors, most obviously being Covid. I will be taking this experience forward and be even more conservative with my timelines in future campaigns. I know it's normal for Kickstarter campaigns to be late, but I was really hoping to defy that expectation!
I have been working on expanding the Nightlancer world and you can see more of this on the Nightlancer wiki.
If you enjoy what you've seen of the Nightlancer world and would like to see more content, you can help make that happen by supporting me to spend more time on it. Even a pledge of £3 a month (the price of a coffee or sandwich) would help me spend more time expanding the world.
Patrons get to see the upcoming article notes and draft forms and even have their own input on what articles they would like to see next. If there are any features of technology, society, politics, or anything else you would like to see in the Nightlancer world, you can become a patron and be part of the growing dystopia.
Nightlancer cards nearly complete - Nightlancer RPG now with custom dice roller

The new Nightlancers have all been extensively put to the test. Balance issues have been found and fixed to bring them in line with the original eight Nightlancers and offer their own unique challenge. Their stories and personalities have also been fleshed out completely, giving added depth to the experience of playing them.
Work continues on the final card designs and they are nearly all complete. The Nightlancer art book is also well under way!
I was hoping to be going to print by now, but progress has been disrupted by the lock-downs we all face. Work has not gone as quickly as it could have otherwise and there is still more work to do before it will be time to send everything to the printer. I know no-one wants this news and I share your frustration.
I'm really pleased with these renders of the artwork, it's exciting to see them even in this form and I can't wait to hold the real thing in my hands after so much work!
Play-testing continues on the Nightlancer RPG and I run an ongoing campaign every other week with Roll20 and voice chat. I'm really pleased with how the system is working as the crew advance, improve, and take the story in their own direction for better or worse.
I've added a custom dice roller to the Roll20 environment which makes the unique dice really easy to use. I was surprised at how easy these are to make, all thanks to the Roll20 community!
